About the Role
You will manage/oversee the daily functions of Ithaki, Meetings and Events Bars. We need someone well versed in wine, food and events. The Lead bartender is a hands-on position that makes regular inspections to observe quality service, cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas including Mixology, dish washing, storage, service and other areas according to Brand specifications. He/she may assist with coordinating all training activities for the bar staff and service employees to include the identification and analysis of training needs. He/she will order supplies or help keep records and accounts. He/she will follow safe food handling and service practices and work closely with the General Manager & Bar staff to service guests, meeting rooms, events, catering, restaurants and bars. He/she will comply with any licensing or regulatory requirements & report to the General Manager
Requirements
Flexible schedule—this position is mainly on weekends and All Evening shifts- except for social functions
Excellent customer service is required
Polished appearance, outgoing personality and professional demeanor are a must
Knowledge of bar logistics, standard cocktail preparation and execution
Must work well in a team environment, as well as independently
This is a working position providing hands on strategic and tactical leadership to the food and beverage department and front of the house operations
Solid knowledge of food and wine pairings
High-end meetings and events experience
Front of house Experience(Food Service, Beverage/Bartending)
Purchasing and Inventory controls
Must be able to work long hours sometimes
Fluent in English is required
Must have valid driver’s license in the applicable state
3-5 years progressive experience in a hotel/restaurant and/or high-volume Bartending
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
